On Wednesday the 25th of July, Yatsugatake Aruko-kai Walking Asocciation will be continuing their Koshu-Kaido Walk from Hachioji to Yose. They will be assembling at Nishi-Hachioji station on JR Chuo Line at 9:30. This leg will be a 16 kilometre walk and will cost 1,000 yen. On Saturday the 28th of July the 40th Yatsugatake Horse Show in Kobuchisawa will be held at the Kobuchisawa Equestrian Stadium. It will start at 3 o’clock in the afternoon and goes on until the grand finale of the spectacular firework display starting at 8:30 in the evening. As well as the horse shows, there will be plenty of entertainment for all the family throughout the afternoon including horse riding, games, taiko drumming, live music, street performances and fire performances. On Saturday the 28th of July the acoustic duo Kuri will have their 9th Full Moon Concert at the Studio Kuri in Egusa, Sutama. The concert will start at 6:30 in the evening and will cost 3,000 yen in advance or 3,500 yen on the day but there will be an art and craft market from 11 to 5 which will be free to enter. Also on Sunday the 29th of July Miho from Kuri will have an Irish tin whistle workshop from 10:30 in the morning until 12:30. It will cost 3,800 yen which will include 2,000 yen tin whistle. The 29th annual Kiyosato Field Ballet starts on Saturday the28th of July. This year two programs, Giselle and Don Quixote will be performed on the open air stage, as well as special gala performances by Nina Ananiashvili. Cinderella will be performed on 28th, 30th of July, 2nd, 4th, 6th and 9th of August, Don Quixote on 29th of July, 1st, 3rd, 5th, 8th and 10th of August, and Nina Ananiashvili Gala will be on 11th and 12th of August.
