Yamanashi Jewelry: A Legacy That Began with Crystals
The exhibition is open until Monday, July 7, at Yamanashi Jewelry Museum in Kofu City.
The exhibition showcases approximately 50 crystal-related works from the Meiji era to around the 1950s, which are part of Yamanashi University's collection. Alongside these, the museum's collection is also on display, presenting the history of Yamanashi jewelry.

Discover the Charm and Enjoyment of the Waterfall Retreat with a “Takigirl"
The event will be held on Saturday, March 29, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The venue is Yatsugatake Nature Interaction Center, in Oizumi, Hokuto City.
Experience the healing power of waterfalls while learning about their charm and ways to enjoy them from the unique perspective of a "Takigirl", a waterfall-girl. Discover how to relax both your mind and body in nature.
The instructor is Ms. Ayako Sakazaki, representative of Subtle Flow. Participation is limited to 20 people, ages 18 and above.

Kai City Sakura Festival
The festival will be held on Sunday, March 23, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The location is Akasaka-dai General Park in Ryuo, Kai City.
Enjoy a variety of fun activities for the whole family, including a grand lottery with exciting prizes, a gathering of local mascot characters, live performances featuring Shingen Taiko drumming, and festival stalls with food and games.

Nicori Hinamatsuri
Hina dolls are being displayed in the 1st-floor common space of Nicori in Nirasaki, until April 3rd.
The exhibition features Tsurushi-bina (hanging hina dolls) and Nicori’s seven-tiered hina display.
Additionally, on Sunday, March 23rd, at 1:30 PM, the Nirasaki High School Koto Club will hold a special performance. Enjoy the beautiful spring melodies alongside the hina doll exhibition.

Akeno Children's Art Museum "Woodworking Workshop"
The Woodworking Workshop will be held from Saturday, March 22nd, to Sunday, March 30th, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Location is Akeno Children's Art Museum in Hokuto City.
Participants will make their own clock, bookshelf, CD rack, small storage box, and more, while learning how to use tools. The instructor is Mr. Teruaki Yatsu, an architect, accompanied by other instructors.

Kiyosato no Mori Mimosa Festival ～International Women's Day & Hinamatsuri
The event will be held on Saturday, March 8, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The venue is "Kiyosato no Mori" in Kiyosato, Hokuto City.
In celebration of the United Nations' International Women's Day on March 8, a lively event will take place in Kiyosato. There will be food stalls operated by local restaurants and shops, and a variety of activities, including live music performances, meditation sessions, Tai Chi, dance, games, and more. Yamanashi Student Karuta Tournament
The tournament will take place on Sunday, March 16, from 10:00 AM. The location is the Budōjō in Martial Arts Hall, in Kose Sports Park, Kofu City.
This Ogura Hyakunin Isshu Karuta tournament is open to both Karuta enthusiasts and beginners up to university students. Competitions will be held in three categories: Ranked Players, Unranked Players, and Beginners.
The tournament capacity is approximately 60 participants. The participation fee is 1,000 yen, payable at the reception on the event day.

Let’s Make a Library Bag with Decoupage!
The workshop will be held on Thursday, March 20, from 2:00 PM, at the Nagasaka Rural Environment Improvement Center in Nagasaka-cho, Hokuto City.
In this workshop, participants will try decoupage, a technique in which pictures and motifs printed on papers are cut out and applied to surfaces. Each participant will create a special library bag with their favorite designs. The instructor is Ms. Yuko Hoshino.
Upper elementary school students to high school students are welcome, with a maximum of 15 participants. The material fee is 1,000 yen.

The Weaving Event at Akeno Children's Art Museum "Let's Weave"
This hand craft event will be held on Sunday, March 9, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The venue is Akeno Children's Art Museum in Akeno-cho, Hokuto City.
Participants will create items such as coasters, wall hangings, and pochettes using patterned wool weaving and fabric rag weaving. Wool yarn will be provided, but you are also welcome to bring your favorite yarn.
The instructor will be the weaving group "Aya."

Nirasaki Omura Art Museum Special Exhibition
“100th Anniversary of Tomoko Sano’s Birth: Her Legacy and Companions”
This exhibition will be held from March 22 to July 6 at Nirasaki Omura Art Museum.
Tomoko Sano was a pioneering female painter who was active in Yamanashi. This exhibition will showcase a comprehensive collection of her works from the museum’s collection. Additionally, it will introduce works by other female painters who worked alongside Tomoko Sano in Yamanashi Prefecture.

Yatsugatake Acoustic Party – Spring Concert 2025

Ando Family Residence Hina-Doll Exhibition
This captivating Hina Doll exhibition is being held at the Ando Family Residence in Nishinango, Minami-Alps City, until Monday, April 7.
More than 300 Hina dolls, dating from the Edo period to the Showa era, are on display. During the event period, koto (Japanese harp) will be played to create a traditional and elegant atmosphere. Enjoy the historic ambiance of this nationally designated Important Cultural Property with a history of 317 years.
Admission is 300 yen for adults and 100 yen for students up to high school.
