Anagannon Festival
The Anagannon Festival will be held on Friday, March 20th, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Unganji Temple located in Chuo-cho, Nirasaki City.
This festival marks the arrival of spring in Nirasaki.
At the main hall of Anagannon, prayer ceremonies will be conducted for family safety, traffic safety, and business prosperity. The event will also feature Yosakoi dance performances, a lucky draw, and bingo games. Numerous food stalls will line the temple grounds.

Special Hokuto☆Stargazing Event
This event will be held on Saturday, March 21st, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Nagasaka Community Station coworking space and rooftop garden in Nagasaka-cho, Hokuto City.
The instructor will be Mika-san, a certified stargazing guide. Participants will be guided into the world of stars through classroom learning, workshops, star quizzes, and astronomical observation.
The event is limited to 30 participants, with a facility usage fee of 550 yen. Applications must be submitted by Thursday, March 19th.

Kai City Cherry Blossom Festival 2026
The Festival will take place on Sunday, March 22nd, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Akasakadai Park as known as Dragon Park, in Ryuo, Kai City.
The festival features entertainment for families, including a Sanrio Character Stage, Yoshimoto comedy show, a gathering of mascot characters, an exciting children's festival area, and the Cherry Blossom Festival Market.
At the end of the event, there will be "Bon Jovi" dance - a fusion of traditional bon dance and DJ music that everyone can dance to together.

Nicol Hinamatsuri
This Hina doll exhibition opens until Friday, April 3rd. The location is at the Nicori Community Exchange Center in Nirazaki City.
Beautiful 'tsurushi bina' and the seven-tiered hina dolls from Nicori are on exhibit. Children under elementary school age are invited to participate in the Hinamatsuri quiz, and they'll receive 'hina-arare' as a reward!
Additionally, on Saturday, March 28th, at 1:30 PM, there will be a 'Spring Koto Concert’ performed by the Nirasaki High School Koto Music Club.

ニコリ ひなまつり
4月3日金曜日まで開かれています。
場所は、韮崎市の韮崎市民交流センター・ニコリ1階共用スペースです。
つるし雛やニコリの七段飾りが展示されています。
小学生以下の子どもがひなまつりクイズに挑戦すると、「ひなあられ」がプレゼントされます。

Tekuteku Yatsugatake: Walking the History of Kiyosato Development - 'Yasuike Road'
This walking event will be held on Wednesday, March 18th, from 9:30 AM to noon. The event will take place around JR Kiyosato Station.
Participants will explore the achievements of Mr. Okio Yasuike, who contributed significantly to the development of Kiyosato, as well as the early life and history of the area.
Participation is free of charge, and welcome 15 participants, starting from 3rd grade and older.

てくてく八ケ岳 清里開拓の歴史「安池ロード」を歩く
3月18日水曜日午前9時半から正午まで開かれます。
場所は、ＪＲ清里駅周辺です。
清里開拓に尽力した一人、安池興男(おきお)さんの偉業と、開拓初期の清里の暮らしや歴史をたどります。

This reading event will be held on Friday, March 20th, starting at 1:30 p.m. The venue is Sutama Mori no Toshokan Liburary in Hokuto City.
The performers are the members of the group “Shizuku.”
Ms. Tomiko Terada will read “Yamanashi” by Kenji Miyazawa.
Ms. Hiroko Shibayama will read “Hito no Nagame” by Takuro Kanki.
Ms. Miyo Sato will read “Kuma to Yamaneko” by Kazumi Yumoto.

Hakushu Comedy Yose
This comedy event will take place on Saturday, March 7th, starting at 1:30 p.m.
The venue is Hakushu Library, in Hokuto City.
Rakugo performers Imokutte Heisuke and Bokutei Kappa will present three Rakugo comic stories. There will also be a fun riddle session for everyone to enjoy.

Akeno Children’s Art Museum Handcraft Workshop:
“Let’s Weave – Pattern Weaving and Rag Weaving”
This handcraft workshop will be held on Sunday, March 8th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The location is the Akeno Children’s Art Museum in Hokuto City.
Using patterned weaving with yarn and rag weaving with strips of cloth, participants will make items such as coasters, wall hangings, and small shoulder bags.
The instructors are from the weaving group “Aya.” The participation fee is 500 yen for children and 1,000 yen for adults. Advance reservation is required.

Lecture Series on the Environment and Culture of Yatsugatake Himmeli Workshop Using Bamboo Grass
On Sunday, March 8th, a “Himmeli” workshop will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The location is the Yatsugatake Nature Fureai Center in Hokuto City.
Participants will make “Himmeli,” a traditional Finnish decoration, using familiar bamboo grass. Through working with bamboo grass, you will learn about the connections between living things, while creating your own Himmeli.
The instructor is Ms. Kyoko Matsuhashi from the “Moja no Mori Explorers.”
The workshop is open to 20 participants, elementary school age and older. Participation is free of charge.

Original Art Exhibition: "The World of Yabuuchi Masayuki: Animal Paintings and the Thoughts Behind Them"
The "World of Yabuuchi Masayuki" will be held from Saturday, February 28th, through Sunday, March 15th. The venue is the Kindaichi Haruhiko Library in Oizumi, Hokuto City.
This exhibition features a collection of original animal illustrations, including works from the famous picture book "Animal Parents and Children", “Doubutsu no Oyako”.
During the exhibition period, a special lecture will also be held on Saturday, March 7th, from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM. Mr. Ryuta Yabuuchi, director of the Yabuuchi Masayuki Art Museum, will speak on the topic: " The Importance of Mastering What You Love."

The 9th Chef's Bar in Yatsugatake 2026
Get ready for a delicious weekend! This year’s first Chef's Bar will take place on Saturday, March 7th, from noon to 8:00 PM, and Sunday, March 8th, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The venue is Moegi no Mura in Hokuto City.
Chefs from popular restaurants around the Yatsugatake foothills will gather in one place to serve their finest dishes featuring seasonal ingredients.
Entertainment will include a ukulele performance and singing by FM Yatsugatake personality Komugi Sato, as well as live jazz performances.

Foster Parent Information Session
This event will be held over two days: Saturday, March 7th, and Monday, March 9th. The sessions will run from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM each day. The venue is Nicori in Nirasaki City.
A "foster parent" is someone who provides support for children who are unable to live with their own families. This session will feature a panel exhibition and a DVD screening about foster care. There will also be detailed explanations of the foster parent system and opportunities for individual consultations.
