Kibutsu Yatsugatake Harvest Festival 2025
The event will take place on Saturday, November 22nd, and Sunday, the 23rd, from 10 AM to 5 PM. The location is Kibutsu House in Oizumi, Hokuto City.
On the 22nd, there will be stalls, a nature clothing exhibit, and a music festival.
The 23rd will feature ceremonies, stalls, and guest talks. Additionally, rice balls and soup will be served for free on the 23rd.
Kibutsu Yatsugatake is a general incorporated association aiming to "promote sustainable community activities and construct a model of a circular society, with awareness of being global citizens."

Smoking Workshop
Join us for a smoking workshop using familiar ingredients! The event will be held on Sunday, November 23rd, from 9 AM to noon. The venue is Hosaka Nature Park Fureai Center in Nirasaki-city.
Let’s learn how to make delicious smoked foods using common ingredients such as cheese and fish cakes. Please come dressed in clothes that can get dirty, and bring an apron and work gloves.

Yatsugatake Youth Nature House "Christmas Night Walk"
The event will be held on Saturday, November 29th, and December 6th and 13th, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. The venue is Yatsugatake Youth Nature House in Takane-cho, Hokuto City.
The highlight of this night walk is the light decoration that colors the quiet winter forest. Walk along the illuminated course and enjoy the enchanting atmosphere of the night forest.

Let's protect animals from traffic accidents! Animal Signboard Workshop with Angeli
The event will take place twice on Saturday, November 8th: from 9:30 AM to noon and from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The location is "Angeli" in Nakamaru, Nagasakacho, Hokuto City.
To create "Hokuto, a town gentle to life, where humans and animals can live happily together," why not make animal-shaped signboards to protect the animals of Yatsugatake from traffic accidents?

The 16th Hokuto City Children's Environment Festival 2025

Akeno Children's Museum "Create Your Own Stylish Hat"
The event will be held on Sunday, November 9th, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The venue is the Ameno Children's Museum in Hokuto City.
Participants will make items inspired by Kenji Miyazawa’s fairy tale "Baraumi Elementary School," including a fox hairband and a vest.
The instructor is Ms. Masako Kawahara, a hat designer.
The workshop is limited to 10 participants.
Participation fee is 500 yen for children and 1,000 yen for adults.

13th “Forest Little Concert” by the Yatsugatake String Ensemble

Exhibition – Mikami Kenji : A Unique Japanese Painting Style and Yatsugatake
The exhibition will be held from Thursday, November 13th, to Sunday, November 16th.
The venue is the Chino City Hall in Chino City, Nagano Prefecture.
This is a solo exhibition by Kenji Mikami, a Japanese painter living in Hokuto City.
He directly explores the life force of forests dating back to the Jomon period, expressing a desire "to feel the breath of living creatures, and to spend fulfilling time as an artist who approaches psychology more deeply."
Using motifs such as wild creatures, trees, and fossils, he expresses a sense of vitality and a cosmic perspective.
The exhibition features 32 works of various sizes inspired by forest creatures.

場所は、長野県茅野市の茅野市民館 市民ギャラリーです。
北杜市在住の日本画家、三上研治さんの個展です。
縄文時代からの森の生命にじかに触れて、「生き物たちの息吹を感じたい。より心理に迫る表現者として充実した時間を過ごしたい」との思いで、生物や樹木、化石などをモチーフに生命感や宇宙観を表現しています。
展覧会では、森の生物をモチーフとした大小の作品32点を展示しています。

Halloween Month 2025 at Moegi no Mura Village
The exciting Halloween event at Moegi no Mura in Kiyosato, Hokuto City, is open until Friday, October 31st.
This year's theme is 'Witches and Pumpkins Garden Party,' featuring fun activities such as costume events, a special music box concert, and special menus at restaurants.
On the weekend of October 25th and 26th, one of the largest country markets in Japan, the "25th Country Festa in Moegi no Mura Village", will take place.

39th Hokuto City Asao Daikon Festival
Join us on Monday, November 3rd, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM for Asao Daikon Festival in Hokuto City. The event will be held at Heidi Village Clara Hall and the grassy area in Asao, Akeno-cho, Hokuto City.
You can harvest Asao Daikon as much as you can pack in a bag, just for 1,000 yen! The event will also feature local gourmet food, specialty product sales, and stage performances.

Hohoemi Forum 2025: Mutual Support, Men and Women Acknowledging Each Other
The event will be held on Saturday, November 8th, from 12:30 PM to 4:40 PM at the "Kaikoma Center Seseragi" in Mukawa-cho, Hokuto City.
In the first part of the event, performance artist Bourbonnu will deliver a lecture on the theme "Changing Society with Individuality Beyond Masculinity and Femininity – LGBT, and What It Means to Be Male or Female."
The second part, titled "Let's Talk Together – 100-Person World Café," invites high school students and citizens to engage in group discussions. The focus will be on exploring gender equality in everyday life.
