This exciting Christmas event at Megumi no Mura is running until Thursday, December 25th.
Experience a wide range of events, including special Christmas concerts and exclusive restaurant menus.

Yamanashi Prefecture New Year Karuta Tournament
The tournament will be held on Monday, January 12th, starting at 10:00 AM. The venue is the Second Martial Arts Hall at Kose Sports Park in Kofu City.
This event is organized by the Yamanashi Prefecture Karuta Association and is open to both seasoned players and beginners, featuring divisions for advanced, non-advanced, and beginner participants.
The participation fee is 1,000 yen, to be paid at the registration desk on the day of the event.

Hokuto City Yatsugatake Skate Center
This winterly skate park will be open on Saturday, December 6th at 1:00 PM, and remain open until Sunday, February 15th. The location is FOLKWOOD SKATE PARK Yatsugatake in Kobuchisawa, Hokuto City.
This skate park is surrounded by the lush forests of Yatsugatake. Both an ice skating rink and a mini figure skating rink will be open. Various skating classes will also be held.

◇15th Kita no Mori Wind Orchestra Christmas Concert
The concert will be held on Sunday, December 14th, starting at 2:00 PM. The venue is Yatsugatake Yamabiko Hall in Hokuto City.
Under the direction of Shogo Kanda, host of the FM Yatsugatake program "Forest Music Room," we will bring you the charm of wind music. The program includes "Christmas Carol Fantasy," "The Sound of Music Medley," "Anpanman's March," and more.

Beginner's Star Camp: Yamanashi Stargazing Event
The event will take place from Saturday, January 17th, 3:00 PM to Sunday, January 18th, 11:00 AM, lasting one night and two days.
Location is Yatsugatake Youth Nature Center in Kiyosato, Hokuto City.
Set against the beautiful starry skies of Kiyosato, families can deepen their communication while observing the stars. Participants will trace the Winter Triangle by connecting the three first-magnitude stars.
On the second day, challenge yourself to make a planet keyholder.
The event is limited to 15 families, approximately 45 people, including preschoolers and elementary school students. Participation fees are 2,600 yen for adults and 2,400 yen for children under elementary school age.

2日目は惑星キーホルダー作りに挑戦します。
定員は幼児・小学生を含む15家族45人程度。

Welcome back! The Nostalgic Picture Book Illustration Exhibit
The exhibit is open until Sunday, December 28th, at Ehon Mura in Kobuchisawa, Hokuto City.
This exhibition celebrates the 50th anniversary of the artistic career of picture book author and Ehon Mura director, Masako Matsumura.
Approximately 35 original illustrations from picture books with themes of "animals," "nature," and "love," such as Christmas Gifts and Moon Bunny, are on display.
At the same time, delightful wooden creations by Ehon Mura's mayor and woodworking artist, Saburo Matsumura, are exhibited and available for purchase, offering a warm, rustic touch.

えほん村の館長で、絵本作家のまつむらまさこさんの画業50周年を記念した絵本原画展です。
「くりすますのおくりもの」や「つきのうさぎ」など「動物」、「自然」、「愛」がテーマの絵本原画がおよそ35点展示されています。
同時に、えほん村村長で木工作家の松村太三郎さんが制作した木のぬくもりが感じられるかわいい作品が、多数展示販売されています。

"Mokurito Print Exhibition by Yasuko Sawaoka: The World of Wood Lithography"
The exhibition runs from Saturday, November 29th to Sunday, March 1st,
at the Nirazaki Omura Art Museum in Nirazaki City.
Yasuko Sawaoka has been creating wood lithographs (MOKURITO) for over 40 years.
While traditional lithography typically uses stone or metal plates, Ms. Sawaoka uses wooden boards, which is a new technique in printmaking.
"MOKURITO" is a term made by Ms. Sawaoka herself. Her artworks mainly use blue and feature a soft natural grain of the wood.

11月29日土曜日から3月1日日曜日まで開かれます。
場所は、韮崎市神山町の韮崎大村美術館です。
澤岡泰子さんは40年以上にわたって木版によるリトグラフ（ＭＯＫＵＲＩＴＯ）の制作を続けてきました。
通常リトグラフといえば、石版や金属板を使用するのが主ですが、澤岡さんが手掛ける作品は、木の板を版木として使う新たな版画の技法です。
“ＭＯＫＵＲＩＴＯ”は澤岡自らが名付けた造語で、作品は主に青色が中心となり、木目の生かされた柔らかく幻想的な世界が広がっています。

Special Exhibition: "Challengers of Japanese Painting: Individual Struggles and Pursuits"
The exhibition will be held from Saturday, December 6th to Sunday, February 1st at the Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Art in Kofu City.
This exhibition highlights 27 Japanese painters, featuring artists from Meiji to Showa periods who explored unique expressions in Japanese painting.
The exhibition includes well-known artists such as Yokoyama Taikan and Higashiyama Kaii, and local artists associated with Yamanashi like Kawasaki Shoko and Mochizuki Shunko.
It explores what challenges each artist faced and their individual struggles and quests in their artistic journeys.

Cancel The 18th Kitanomori Furusato Walking Event
This walking event will be held on Sunday, November 30th, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at BELGA in Hokuto City.
Participants will enjoy the beauty of nature, pure natural water, and majestic mountain scenery while walking through the southern Alps, where is a part of UNESCO Eco Park.
There are two routes: the 7-kilometer Ojira-Meisui Course and the 2-kilometer Tori no Saezuri Course.
The event is limited to 500 people. The participation fee includes lunch, a gift, and insurance.
The fee is 1,200 yen for high school students and older, while middle school students and younger children can join for free.

Hokuto City Doctor-Led Health Workshop: The Vitality Series, Part 3
Join us on Saturday, December 6th, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event will be held at Kai Koma Center Seseragi in Mukawa-cho, Hokuto City.

The 2nd Kobuchisawa Carnival Charity Concert
The event will take place on Saturday, December 6th, starting at 1:30 p.m. at Hokuto City Lifelong Learning Center Kobuchisawa.
Under the theme "Towards a Bright Future Together," the concert features "Mori no Yukai na Nakama-tachi" (The Forest's Cheerful Friends), university student volunteers from Yamanashi University, Tsuru University, Yamanashi Eiwa College, and more, as well as vocalist MARIA.
