Intermediate Igo Class
The class is held every Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to noon until March 25 next year. The location is the Hokuto City Igo Museum in Nagasaka-cho, Hokuto City.
The class is intended for players of upper beginner level or higher, with the goal of reaching the shodan level. The class is limited to around 30 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.

Mt. Amari Flower Study Group Session: “Spring Flowers”
This event will be held on Sunday, May 18, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The meeting point is Sawara-Ike at Mt. Amari.
You are warmly invited to join the Mt. Amari NPO Club for a guided walk to explore spring flowers—sometimes you may even come across rare species.

Tango no Sekku at the Ando Family Residence
This exhibition is open until Monday, June 2. The venue is the Ando Family Residence, located in Nishinango, Minami-Alps City.
On display are traditional decorations unique to Yamanashi, including the ceremonial helmet "Kai no Okabuto", a giant 7-meter-long carp streamer, and vividly colored warrior banners.
Enjoy the festive atmosphere of this traditional celebration, which prays for the healthy growth of children, within the historic setting of a 317-year-old residence.

Yatsugatake Wildlife Observation Event – Introductory Birdwatching For Summer Birds
This event will be held on Saturday, May 10, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The venue is the Yatsugatake Nature Fureai Center in Oizumi, Hokuto City.
Perfect for beginners and families, this introductory birdwatching session will teach you how to use binoculars and how to find wild birds, with friendly guidance from a park ranger.

Mother’s Day Music Festival
The concert will be held on Sunday, May 18, starting at 2:00 p.m. The venue is Yatsugatake Yamabiko Hall in Takane-cho, Hokuto City.
This heartfelt concert is presented by a group of passionate singers and musicians who truly love music.
Performers include soprano singers Noriko Kobayashi, Yuko Kubota, and Miharu Futamata; cellist Hiroko Ogino; pianists Arisa Muroya and Hanae Matsui; and special guest performers soprano Seika Kawaguchi and pianist Miyako Fujimaki — for a total of eight artists.

Hokuto City Maternal and Child Health Association Member Training Seminar
"What Gives Children the Strength to Face the Future? — Key Elements in Interpersonal Support"
This seminar will be held on Saturday, April 26, from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. The location is Yatsugatake Yamabiko Hall in Takane-cho, Hokuto City.
Dr. Masao Aihara, a pediatric neurologist and Director of the Yamanashi Child Mental Health Support Plaza, will be the guest speaker. This special lecture commemorates the 20th anniversary of the Hokuto City Maternal and Child Health Association. It will be an opportunity to learn about topics such as forming emotional attachment, self-esteem, and happiness at the end of your life.

The location is the Hosaka Nature Park Fureai Center in Nirasaki City.
This class offers a chance to experience the beauty of spring in the rural satoyama area while walking through the Hosaka Nature Park. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for walking. You're welcome to bring a magnifying glass if you have one.

O-miyuki-san
O-miyuki-san will be held on Tuesday, April 15, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The event takes place at Shingen-zutsumi Park and around Sanja Shrine in Ryuo, Kai City.
The origin of O-miyuki-san dates back approximately 1,200 years to the Heian period, when people prayed for protection from floods of the Kamanashi River.
During the festival, mikoshi (portable shrine) bearers dress in women's clothing and parade through the area while stomping on the embankment to pack it down, chanting "Sokodai, Sokodai" as they go.

場所は、甲斐市竜王の信玄堤公園と三社神社周辺です。
今からおよそ1200年前の平安時代、釜無川の水防祈願を行なったのがおみゆきさんの起源とされています。
神輿の担ぎ手は女性の格好をし、「ソコダイ、ソコダイ」の掛け声とともに堤を踏み固める動作で練り歩きます。

Spring Storytelling Plaza
The event will be held on Saturday, April 26, starting at 3:00 p.m. The venue is Kindaichi Haruhiko Library in Oizumi, Hokuto City.
This is a special storytelling event in spring time presented by the volunteer group “Ohanashi Uribō” and the library staff.
There will be large picture book readings, paper theater readings (Kamishibai), and a panel theater performance! The readings are designed for preschoolers to lower elementary school students.
